Wonderful place, really enjoyed staying there
5 starsHave stayed at Pine Ridge before in 2011 and 2012 and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there again. The place is well equipped and spacious, clean and comfy beds. Fantastic location, saw red squirrel from bedroom window. Will stay there again!

Relaxing with sea view

lovely holiday home
5 starsEnjoyed a lovely week at Pine Ridge. Good size rooms and very well equipped. Patio garden , sea view from some rooms. Owners very helpful and made us very welcome. Good pubs in village,-village store, post office ,fish and chips from a mobile van on a friday, lovely pottery shop- 10 minute walk in to village. 15 minute walk down lane to sea ( 25 minutes back up)- not really suitable for kids to play as it has a boat slipway-no beach, no car access. would recommend Tapnell Farm Park near Yarmouth for under 10's-

Lovely Position and exceptionally Clean!
5 starsVery pleasant stay at Pine Ridge, The owners Martin and Sue nice and friendly and unobtrusive, the property is lovely and clean and all rooms of a good size, with comfortable beds. There are plenty of walks to be had from the property so no need to take the car out all the time. Pine Ridge is a five min drive from Blackgang Chine and with the seven day free returns this meant that I could pop the children to Blackgang as though I was popping them to the park. The grocery store in Niton is sufficient for all needs. Would recommend the White Lion in Niton, nicely refurbished and very pleasant staff. The WhiteMouse Inn in Chale has also upped its game and is now serving good food with an extensive menu. Further from the property can recommend the Sun Inn at Hulverstone, and the Fighting Cocks in Arreton has a brilliant play area for the children. Pine Ridge boasts a brilliant position on the Island as none of the main attractions are too far to visit. During our stay here we went on one of evening Ghost walks at the near by Botanical Gardens. was worth it just to walk through the otherwise closed off to the public tunnel through the cliffs to the sea. In summery I would definitely recommend Pine Ridge, Location, Location, Location!

A well equipped house in a lovely location.
5 starsWe stayed at Pine Ridge for one week in July.The house has everything you need and the owners Sue and Martin who live next door are helpful and friendly. We loved the sun trap garden with a view of the sea and the walk from the house to the sea/lighthouse. Lots to do without travelling too far. We liked the Botanical Garden at Ventnor.

Wonderful
5 starsThis is fantastic accommodation in an idyllic and unspoilt part of the island. The house oozed charm and character, was extremely clean, spacious and very well-equipped. The pretty patio garden was just perfect for little ones, sunbathers and barbeques. We were made to feel most welcome by the friendly owners, Sue and Martin and we had the most wonderful stay. As a family, we have been visiting the island each summer for over 20 years and thoroughly recommend Pine Ridge,such a great find! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful birdsong
5 starsThis delightfully secluded property, with spectacular pine trees, in accordance with its name, is thoroughly kitted out with all you could need and arias sung by the bird life are a happy feature whether relaxing in the pretty garden with its inviting glimpse of the sea or waking up to a new day.

A comfortable cottage in an ideal location
4.5 starsWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pine Ridge. Our hosts were accommodating and very obliging and responded quickly to all our requests without being intrusive. The house is comfortable and homely with a lovely outside area which affords views of the Channel.

Great location
5 starsA most enjoyable stay. A peaceful location with scenic views and a short walk to the coast. The owners were very helpful and friendly. It was really useful having some necessities such as soap, dishwasher tablets, rubber gloves etc. Would recommend.

3rd visit
5 starsWe simply love Pine Ridge. There is plenty of space and lots to entertain the kids. We walked down to the lighthouse again and found a cafe on the front. The Buddle Inn is very close, although we just made use of the well equipped kitchen. The weather was fantastic too! I am sure this will not be our final visit to Pine Ridge.

Very impressed!
5 starsWe have just returned from a week, our first, at Pine Ridge and we found it perfect. It was very comfortable, extremely clean, spacious, very well equipped and furnished to a high standard. It is situated in a great position in Niton with pubs, shops and walks within easy walking distance. Martin and Sue, the very friendly owners, are on hand if you need help with anything or want advice on walks, eating out etc, but they weren't intrusive. We would definitely recommend staying here, and hope to return ourselves. Thank you, Martin and Sue, for allowing us to stay in your super holiday home!

Pine Ridge holiday cottage
5 starsThe cottage was very comfortable, spacious and everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The beds very comfortable and the rooms light and airy. The views from all aspects were spectacular, fields with sheep and alpacas, sea views and pretty countryside. The garden was big enough to sit out and relax or have a barbecue. Walking distance to a small bay called Reeth Bay with sandy beach, the Buddle pub and St Catherine's lighthouse. The owners were helpful and there if you need to know anything. Excellent value for money, would certainly recommend it.

Lovely place to stay, brilliant location
5 starsCottage was exceptionally clean and spacious. Generally really well equipped. Owners live in the same property but it doesn't feel like you're sharing a house - they were helpful and very friendly but didn't intrude in any way. The location is great - secluded and quiet but pretty straightforward to get anywhere on the island. Local pub was lovely. Take a walk from the property to the car park at the end of the Old Blackgang Road for what must be the most stunning and peaceful view on the whole island.

Fantastic holiday
4.5 starsOn arrival we found a nice, clean holiday home with a large bright kitchen, cosy big lounge and lovely bedrooms with bathrooms attached, which made it perfect for a family of 3 adults. But the best thing about Pine Ridge is its fabulous position!!! It is situated on the quiet southern tip of the island in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the house nestles seamlessly into its environment. We visited many of the attractions on the island during our holiday but the best thing was spending the warm mornings, afternoons and evenings outside on the gravel patio looking down to the sea beyond. We had an amazing holiday but were disappointed not to meet the owners to say a personal thank you, but we hope they had as good a holiday as we did.

Just what we wanted!
5 starsThis was a family holiday with our daughter, son-in-law, and four year old grandaughter. We found Pine Ridge with not too much difficulty though the road closure near Ventnor threw us a little. Once we realised we needed to approach via the village of Niton, all was well. The house was just as we imagined and suited us perfectly. The family bedroom was just right as the four year old had mummy and daddy close at hand so was very happy - she even had a choice of two beds! Everything was nice and clean and as advertised so no complaints. Blackgang Chine was just a short drive away and a family pub, The Wight Mouse, was a good place to eat having a large garden and playground for children. We would definitely consider staying at Pine Ridge again.

Exceeded expectations
5 starsA very relaxing holiday for 6 of us in this wonderful cottage. The place is a lot larger then the photos suggest. Interior was exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. The place is great for small children as down a large private driveway with lots of space both inside and out. Was nice chatting to the owners to get local advice also.

Another perfect stay at Pine Ridge
5 starsJust returned from Pine Ridge after an amazing week. This was our second year staying here at the same time - first week of the Easter Holidays. Weather this year was fantastic and like summer. The house is wonderful and has everything you could need. Our kids are 2.5 and 4.5 and love the house and the courtyard with all the stones and diggers and buckets! I imagine Martin & Sue may need to re-take the back courtyard after a week of our kids playing out there! We noticed this year some rooms had been re painted and it all felt very fresh and clean. And the addition of the football table this year was fun. And bonus that Blackgang Chine is literally up the road so very easy to return each day for an hour or so as tickets allow unlimited returns within 7 days. This house is a fabulous find and we hope to return for many years to come. We've stayed at many places on the Island over the last 20 years and this is one of the best!
